Larry Winnard was inducted into the Oklahoma Chapter of the National Hall of Fame in 2009, for his lifetime contribution to the sport of wrestling. He had been an Athletic trainer, a high school wrestling coach, and then a wrestling coach for Oklahoma State University. As an athlete he developed a high tolerance level for pain.
"I had been in pain for 10 years. My pain threshold was very high. If I said that my pain was at a level 3 or 4, on a pain scale of 1 to 10, someone else would describe it as a level 9. I had had 28 different procedures, before I found Dr. Braly. I had severe contractions and spasms in my back and had shortness of breath. My daily workload was close to nothing, due to my neck pain. My range of motion was terrible. I had vertebrates 4, 5, 6 and 7 fused together and three disectomies. I was able to stop taking pain pills and muscle relaxers after five days of my surgery! I am amazed at my improvement! Dr. Braly and his staff are top-notch! I was also very impressed with his PA, Shai. I couldn't feel any better. In fact, I wish that I had not waited so long. I'm back doing my favorite hobby, custom knife making!"
